About the developer

Why ScholarMap exists, and the world I am trying to build.

The mission

A world where any ambitious student can find — and reach — the opportunities that match their potential.

Every year, brilliant students miss life-changing scholarships, research programs, and competitions simply because no one told them they existed. The information is out there, but it is fragmented, intimidating, and locked behind the networks of the already-privileged.

ScholarMap is an intelligence layer for academic opportunity. It brings the world's scholarships, research programs, professors, labs, and competitions into a single, navigable map — then uses your unique profile to show you exactly where you fit and how to get there.

I believe a student in any town, in any country, deserves the same clarity and guidance as one with access to elite counselors. That belief is the heart of everything I build.

I'm Raghav Kaushal, a computer science student in India. I build software to study how people learn, decide and pay attention — treating each project as a small research instrument rather than a product.

I built ScholarMap because the hardest part of finding academic opportunities isn't that they're hidden — it's that nothing tells you which ones you're eligible for.

Access for everyone

Talent is universal, but opportunity is not. ScholarMap exists to close that gap by surfacing the right opportunities for every student, everywhere.

Clarity over noise

The hardest part of finding opportunities is not the lack of them — it is the overwhelm. I turn scattered information into a clear, navigable map.

Guidance, not gatekeeping

Most students never have access to expert mentorship. ScholarMap gives everyone a knowledgeable guide in their corner.

Built by one person, carefully

Every match score, roadmap, and recommendation is designed to genuinely help students take their next meaningful step.
